Dear Ronald,

Here at the Red Cross we don’t have to think long or hard about what we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving. We’re grateful for you, every single day.

You reached out your hand and helped a family reeling from disaster. You were there when a child was feeling scared and alone after an emergency turned her world upside down. You provided comfort when a soldier was longing for family back home.

With your support, we provided relief and comfort during emergencies, big and small, from Japan to Joplin, MO. We prepared families for disasters with safety training and education. We treated many who were sick with vital blood and blood products at our nation’s hospitals.

Together, we changed lives.

You’ve made an immense difference this year to the people who needed it most. I can’t thank you enough.
